About

I’m not advising from “theory.” I know what the founder seat is actually like.

The Story

The newsroom.

I spent five years working in TV. I started my career at C-SPAN and WUSA 9, then jumped in for four years as a TV news reporter and anchor in Nebraska, on-air at the CBS affiliate 10/11 News. Every day I was finding the story under deadline pressure. That training never left. In any noisy room, in any tangled business, there is one story that matters, one angle that makes people care, and a clock running. My job is to find the answer fast, and I’ve done it my whole career.

The founder seat.

Then I built a boutique creative agency, Oh Hello, from zero. The payroll, the pipeline, the 2am pricing decisions, the clients who loved us and the ones we should have said no to. I scaled it, and in 2025, I sold it. That means something specific for you. I don’t advise from theory. I know what a scattered quarter feels like from the inside, and I know what it costs to make mistakes.

Strategy from someone who has never run a payroll can feel like a thesis. Smart on paper, untested in the real world.

The pattern.

Across my career, I’ve seen the same thing again and again. Capable businesses with good products, real traction, and talented teams get stuck. Not because they lack ability. Because their story fell behind their growth. What they need isn’t more marketing. It’s clarity. Who they’re for, what they sell best, why it matters, and what to do next. Positioning, offers, messaging, focus. That is the work I do best for founder-led businesses, and it’s the work I care about most today.

The standard.

I know what your investment costs and what it’s supposed to return. I only take on work where we’re comfortable holding each other to a higher bar than either of us would hit alone. The best creative work comes from two partners who refuse to let it be mediocre, not a vendor who takes orders. What you won’t get: a junior person learning on your dime, a bloated retainer that bills for the sake of billing, or an execution upsell hiding at every turn. Just the strategist, the method, and an action plan your team can run on.

How I Work

The principles of my work

  1. Clarity before execution.

I won’t help you pour money into telling an unclear story louder. And I’ll always be honest about whether I’m the right fit to help you execute, or whether you need someone else.

  2. Evidence before aspiration.

Strategy gets built from your best clients and your market’s white space, not from a mood board. I can help you design a visual brand, but that comes second to the strategy.

  3. Verdicts, not just decks.

You’ll get recommendations with a spine: this lane, this offer, this language, this order. Not a pretty presentation to nod along to. A decision you can act on Monday morning.

  4. Your team can run with me or without me.

Everything I deliver is built to be used without me in the room. AI integration is part of every engagement, so what we create is scalable and ready to move fast.

The Ask

Ready for clarity?

The next step is a short conversation. If we’re not the right fit, I’ll tell you. If we are, you’ll leave with a clearer picture of what to do next.
